Berry Almond Oat Bars
Indulge your sweet tooth with these Berry Almond Oat Bars without the guilt! Serve these bars warm or cold for a delicious on go snack.
Ingredients
Bars
- 2-2 1/2 cups Rolled Oats
- 1/4 cup Oat Bran
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 1 cup Apple Juice
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Almond Extract
- 1/2 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
Toppings
- 2 tbsp Fruit only Raspberry jam or other berry jam
- 2 tbsp sliced almonds
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350F
- Lightly oil an 8 inch square pan
- In a large bowl, add oats, oat bran, and baking powder and mix well
- In another bowl, mix remaining ingredients until combined. Add to oat mixture and mix well
- Let mixture sit for 10 minutes
- Stir mixture one more time, add to pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 35 minutes
- Let bars cool inside of the pan
- Once cake is cooled, evenly spread jam on top and sprinkle sliced almonds
- Cut into bars & serve warm or cold
