Meet The Team
Dr. Rachel Diestel
Doctor of Chiropractic
Education: Parker University
Dr. Rachel Diestel’s journey towards becoming a chiropractor is one filled with passion and a deep desire to make a difference in people’s lives. After losing several loved ones to preventative diseases, then facing her own adverse health complications in her early 20’s, she discovered a different path to health. Dr. Rachel became a patient at a nearby MaxLiving Chiropractic office, and it was there she experienced a remarkable health transformation herself. After dealing with chronic kidney and reproductive dysfunction for years, she witnessed firsthand the incredible power that chiropractic care and the 5 Essentials could have on her body.
Driven by her calling to help others, Dr. Rachel devoted herself to serving as a Chiropractic Assistant in that same office before embarking on her journey to pursue her Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree from Parker University. Now she is dedicated to helping provide holistic care and empower individuals to improve their health without relying solely on medications.
Dr. Rachel has received comprehensive training and obtained certifications in advanced spinal correction, nutrition, exercise, and detoxification, pre- and peri-natal techniques, equipping her with the knowledge and expertise to find the root cause of health issues from infancy and beyond. She’s committed to helping newborns, children, teenagers, parents and grandparents in the New Braunfels, TX community prioritize the health of their spine and nervous system.
When she’s not in the office, you’ll find Dr. Rachel on the river, traveling, researching, or spending quality time with her husband Travis and their son.
Travis Diestel
Doctor of Chiropractic
Education: Parker University
Dr. Diestel’s passion for making a positive impact on people and helping them live a healthier life started while serving in the military. During his 5 years in the Army, he discovered he had a love for health and fitness and began leading workouts. Before finishing his duty in the Army, Dr. Diestel got his personal trainer’s certificate along with a certificate in corrective exercise with the intention of helping people reach their fitness goals and serve those that were recovering from an injury.
Shortly after his time in the military, Dr. Diestel met his wife, Rachel. Their first year of marriage is when the journey of being a Chiropractor really began. Rachel began having serious health issues that led to over a year of continuous doctor and specialist visits with no answers. The Diestel’s were lucky enough to find a MaxLiving Chiropractor that changed their lives. At this office, they witnessed the power of structural corrective chiropractic care, 5 essentials and healing from the inside out. After only a few months of care, Rachel gained her life back and pursued her doctorate in Chiropractic. Dr. Diestel began working as a Chiropractic Assistant with dreams of owning a clinic with his wife. In this position, Dr. Diestel realized his calling to serve people as a Chiropractor and earned his degree from Parker University.
Dr. Diestel has received comprehensive training and obtained certifications in advanced spinal correction, level 2 activator, nutrition, exercise, and detoxification, equipping him with the knowledge and expertise to offer a whole-body approach to care that addresses the needs of the entire body. He’s enthusiastic about ensuring his fellow service members and first responders receive the healthcare they deserve so they can not only better their own lives but the lives they impact on a daily basis serving our community.
When Dr. Diestel is not in the office you will find him in the gym, playing recreational sports, working on vehicles, traveling, and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Prenatal Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic care offers a gentle and natural approach that is highly effective in managing the discomforts of pregnancy and promoting smooth delivery process. Through chiropractic adjustments, we can pinpoint and remove interference, allowing the body to self-regulate and function at 100%. This can lead you to a life without limits, free from pain and discomfort, making pregnancy more manageable even as the mother accommodates the increasing weight of the developing life within her.
Pregnancy can take a toll on the body and regular chiropractic adjustments contribute to ensuring a joyful and healthy pregnancy experience for both the mother and the baby. There is nothing we cherish more than assisting mothers throughout this special phase of their lives.
Pediatric Chiropractic Care
Pediatric care encompasses much more than tending to the spine; it extends to addressing a variety of experiences a child encounters during their formative years. Many adults face chronic health conditions that could have been avoided had they addressed their health concerns as a child.
Children, just like their parents, require adjustments, but look different for different ages. These adjustments involve creating pathways for nerves to flow freely, promoting the body’s innate self-healing abilities. Traumatic childbirth, falls, and injuries can all lead to misalignments in the spine.
Should your child have faced or be currently dealing with challenges like scoliosis, posture issues, ear infections, behavioral concerns, a weakened immune system, sleep troubles, or injuries from play or accidents, it might be the right time to consider a visit to MaxLiving Chiropractic.
Community Outreach
We believe that everyone deserves hope and healing, which is why we partner with numerous local organizations in our community to help those in need.
