Meet The Doctors
Dr. Nicole Marshall is the Clinic Owner of MaxLiving Chiropractic – Southside. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Alternative Medicine from Everglades University, she has explored medicinal practices from around the world including naturopathy, homeopathy, Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and more.
But Dr. Nicole’s journey to becoming a chiropractor started as an office manager at her brother’s MaxLiving Health Center. Witnessing firsthand the transformative power of maintaining a healthy spine and nervous system, Dr. Nicole adopted MaxLiving’s 5 Essentials lifestyle and experienced remarkable improvements in her own health. After 7 years of helping to empower patients, she felt like she was called to do more. It was then that Dr. Nicole went on to receive her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, FL.
She holds certifications in Level 2 Advanced Spinal Correction, nutrition, exercise, and detoxification. Dr. Nicole is committed to helping families in the Jacksonville community achieve their health goals. She takes a whole-body approach to health, finding the root cause of health problems and guiding her patients toward optimal healing and functioning.
When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Nicole loves to stay active by going on long distance runs, and soaking up the sun at the beach. Join Dr. Nicole on the path to a healthier, happier life with MaxLiving Chiropractic.
Dr. Jim Marshall’s journey from St. Louis, MO to Jacksonville, FL is a testament to his passion for holistic health and well-being. Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Westminster College in 2005, Dr. Jim later honed his skills by earning a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from Washington University. However, his true calling emerged when he pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science and a Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in 2014.
Eager to expand his chiropractic education, Dr. Jim sought training under renowned chiropractor, Dr. Tony Nalda in Orlando, FL. There, he delved deep into advanced chiropractic techniques and certifications, particularly in MaxLiving’s 5 Essentials. This encompassed structural spinal correction, nutrition, exercise, and toxicity, empowering Dr. Jim to take a whole-body approach to care with patients.
Now, Dr. Jim is excited to bring his wealth of knowledge and passion for helping members of the Jacksonville, FL community, working alongside his sister, Dr. Nicole Marshall. Together, they are committed to doing more than simply helping people feel better, but to assist them in achieving their full potential and purpose in life.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Jim cherishes his role as a devoted husband and father. His family serves as the cornerstone of his health mission, inspiring him to strive for excellence each day. In his free time, you’ll likely find Dr. Jim crafting in his woodshop, tending a grill, or playing games in his backyard with his wife and son. He looks forward to serving the North Florida community for many years to come.
Kimberly Carbajal
OFfice ManagerAs our Office Manager, Kimmy plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our clinic. She brings a unique blend of empathy, organizational skill, and a passion for community outreach, making her an invaluable member of our team. Kimmy hails from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and holds a high school degree. Her experiences have equipped her with a profound understanding of cultural nuances and the challenges faced by immigrants, enriching her role in our diverse setting. Before joining us, Kimberly honed her skills in coordination, management, and translation at a law office where she served as an English translator. This role enhanced her organizational capabilities and deepened her commitment to assisting the Hispanic community, especially those adjusting to new environments.
Kimberly’s path to becoming our Office Manager was serendipitous. Responding to an ad on Indeed, she found more than just a job; she discovered a mission. Despite not being a patient herself prior to joining, Kimberly had her own health challenges, struggling with significant discomfort and sleep issues. Her transformative health journey began right here, leading to substantial improvements in her well-being. Kimberly is passionate about witnessing and contributing to the daily health improvements of our patients. She is particularly excited about the prospect of leading workshops, especially looking forward to offering workshops in Spanish to better serve our diverse community. When she’s not orchestrating office activities or planning health workshops, Kimberly enjoys spending quality time outdoors. An avid fisher, she loves to connect with nature and exploring scenic landscapes with her family and friends. Her story is a testament to the life-changing impact of our work, and she is eager to help others embark on their own journeys of health transformation.
