MaxLiving Chiropractors Speak to Chiropractic Students To Educate and Inspire

MaxU Student Club for chiropractic students

Orlando – March 25, 2019 – MaxLiving’s Logan University MaxU Students obtained valuable chiropractic education and practical relationship development skills from Dr. Matt Horn, of Premier Family Chiropractic, in Carmel, Ind., on March 1st, 2019. This in-person presentation is just one part of a host of live, in-person and teleconferencing events and educational opportunities that MaxLiving offers students in MaxU Student Clubs.

MaxU Student Club is a MaxLiving student association, whereby chiropractic students have access to a series of speaking events; educational webinars; live Facebook chats with MaxLiving chiropractors; mentorships and transformation camps; advanced certifications; and other educational opportunities and resources that support chiropractic education and professional development.

Belonging to MaxU Student Club enables students to connect with other chiropractic students across the country within the MaxU Student Club Facebook group for discussions, support, and networking. In addition, MaxU Students gain free attendance to MaxLiving conferences, such as MLX, which include special student sessions and luncheons. MaxU Student Clubs are intended to prime chiropractic students to be successful chiropractors and empower them to open their own practices. Many MaxU students are able to establish employment opportunities at MaxLiving Clinics prior to graduation or continue on to become a MaxLiving business owner.

Dr. Horn received his Doctor of Chiropractic from Logan University and was excited for the opportunity to present to the students. Dr. Horn is highly credentialed, holding certifications in KST and the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Dr. Horn provided valuable chiropractic information and effective methods for developing relationships within one’s community that support practice growth and patient retention.

One of the greatest values of MaxU Student Clubs is that students gain knowledge and practical skills and strategies that they generally do not encounter in coursework—such as how to communicate with patients, how to develop an efficient team, how to deliver an effective community event, how to create a positive patient experience, and other business information that support students’ chiropractic profession after they graduate.

“Dr. Matt’s talk gave real-world perspectives to many students that attended. Students’ minds were opened to the fact that the school will prepare them for boards and give a baseline education. MaxLiving will provide them with opportunities to become great communicators, community leaders, and great chiropractors,” remarked Dane Riner, a MaxU student at Logan University.

Dr. Horn and Logan University students were able to gather at Health From Within Family Chiropractic, which was readily offered by owner, Dr. Nick Barnes, who is also a Logan University graduate.

On March 2nd, Dr. Michael Major and Dr. Cassie Major, from Major Family Chiropractic in Nashville, Tenn., delivered a similar presentation to Life University MaxU Students. The doctors discussed chiropractic philosophy; 5 EssentialsTM, including educating on nutrition, exercise, and detoxification; screening methods; and how to effectively communicate with patients and gain their trust.

Melody Zurawski, from Life University, said, “This event was extremely valuable for every student who attended. We were able to take time out from our school responsibilities to learn from the Major’s, and really connect with our MaxU family. Dr. Michael and Dr. Cassie gave us insight into the business side of running a practice and the value they have found in MaxLiving’s support.”

One of the ideas the Majors wanted to express to the students was that of confidence and conviction that they were taking the right steps to be able to practice their passion.

“More importantly,” stated Zurawski, “they spoke to us about embracing who we are by sharing personal experiences and practical tips to help us along our journey. We left empowered, with reminders to appreciate the season we’re in, to stop comparing and disqualifying our own hard work, and that we are not alone!”

Dr. Michael and Dr. Cassie Major stated, “We remember being in school and wondering what
it would really be like in practice. Students are the future of our profession! Helping them feel confident about the adjustment, the principle of chiropractic, and themselves right now sets them up for not only success in practice, but in life.”

Samantha Montgomery, MaxLiving Student Relationship Manager, echoed the Majors’ thoughts, “Having MaxLiving doctors such as Dr. Matt Horn and Dr. Michael and Dr. Cassie Major speak to our students on their respective campuses is a huge benefit to our MaxU Student program. The students are the future to the chiropractic profession, and fueling their fire really paves the way for the doctors they will become.”
